「HAKUHO#4」
Artwork Description:
This work takes the symbol of the Yokozuna, deeply rooted in traditional Japanese culture, as its point of departure, layering it with contemporary urban landscapes and the raw energy of street culture.
The piece depicts salt being cast into the air as part of a ritual—an act that signifies purification and prayer, while simultaneously symbolizing the release of impulses and emotions of those living within the city.
For viewers who are drawn to the spirituality of Japanese culture, such as sumo, while also resonating with urban culture, street art, and contemporary forms of expression, this work becomes a mirror of the self—standing between what is preserved and what is continually renewed.
Respecting tradition without being confined by existing values, this is a piece we hope will resonate with those who wish to perceive the world through their own sensibilities.
